8/12- event day
Early in the morning, a few of us arrived at the event location to get ready for the event which would begin at 9 AM. We were separated into different groups and had different roles in helping the event run smoothly. Yiwen and Katherine volunteered in the help/service group, Alton volunteered in the registration/check-in group, and Ada volunteered in the awards group. In addition, Emily and Elliot also came to represent the Shin Shin Foundation during the opening ceremony, along with numerous other Shin Shin volunteers.
7/25, 8/1, 8/3 Preparation for event
On the evenings of 7/25, 8/1, and 8/3, many youth group volunteers helped prepare for the NCCAF track competition taking place on 8/12. There was a lot of work to be done, from sorting out medals to preparing goodie bags for participants. On 7/25 and 8/3, we worked on the medals, and put on sticker labels on each of the medals. On 8/1, we prepared around 500 bags of thai tea powder, ginger candy, and ginger coconut drinks to give out to participants on the day of the event. There were boxes and boxes of each item, and after 2 hours of non-stop packing, we finally finished.
