On the morning of February 24, we helped at the AAH (Animal Assisted Happiness) farm in Sunnyvale as part of the Shin Shin Youth Group. Many animals were there to take care of, such as goats, horses, birds, and bunnies. Most of us volunteered in the large goat pen. We raked dirty hay and manure off the floor, refilled water for the goats, and occasionally dumped the scraps we were picking up. Although it was a tough job that took about 2 hours to complete, it was fun to watch the goats eat and sleep together up close. After finishing early, we then decided to take on another job-- sweeping the paths throughout the farm with brooms-- before finally having 30 minutes of free time to play with any of the animals. Overall, it was a fun experience and the group enjoyed the fresh air, animals, and workout!
