“A community’s success is meaningless as long as there are others in the community suffering, so our mission is to uplift and improve the quality of life of underserved communities in Silicon Valley”.
On 11/23/2023, Thanksgiving day, at "The Silicon Valley Turkey Trot," the scene was bustling with a lively crowd! Our ShinShin Youth Group volunteers—Christopher, Yiwen, Alexander, Aaron, Caltong, and Jasmine—dedicated their time to the Children's Fun Zone. Emily took charge at the finish line, while Natalie and Daniel served at the Kids Fun Run area. Rising early at 6 am was certainly a challenge, but everyone enjoyed a fulfilling and meaningful Thanksgiving morning!
By participating in volunteer activities, we not only contributed our efforts to the community but also fostered teamwork and leadership skills. This experience allowed us to experience the joy of serving others and feel the power of selfless dedication. Especially for our fellow students serving in the Children's Fun Zone, the interaction with the children not only brought smiles to their faces but also deepened our understanding of the importance of sharing love.
Engaging in volunteer activities at the Silicon Valley Turkey Trot not only promoted physical well-being but also instilled a sense of responsibility towards the community. Such experiences taught us the value of unity and collaboration, working together to create a positive impact on society. We appreciate everyone's support, making this Thanksgiving morning a memorable one for all of us!
