On Nov 10, 2019, we collaborated with Sunday Friends to host fun activities for low income children in the San Jose area. We did constructive projects, including cooking, art, writing, reading and educational games, together with the program participants. They earn tickets through these activities and will later spend them within the on-site "store." In this volunteer event, youth group members serve as positive role models for young children while helping them to practice work ethics, manners and academics in a healthy, warm and supportive environment.

We will be collaborating with Sunday Friends to host fun activities for low income children in San Jose area.
For twenty years, Sunday Friends has provided a safe place where very-low-income families come together with volunteers in a community setting. We will be assisting children with constructive projects, including cooking, art, writing, reading and educational games. We will also help program participants earn tickets, which they will later spend within the on-site "store". This is a great opportunity to serve as a positive role model for young children while helping them to practice work ethics, manners and academics. The setting is healthy, warm and supportive. We have nine spots only, so please sign up as soon as possible. Age limit is 8+. Parents are welcome to join but we give priority to youth group members first. Place: Santee Elementary, 1313 Audubon Drive, San Jose, CA 95112 Date/time: Nov 10, Sunday, 12:30-4pm |
