Are you tired of being stuck at home all day? Do you miss your friends? Do you want to go out and help the community WHILE maintaining social distancing? Then I got the perfect volunteer opportunity for you!!
South Bay Clean Creeks Coalition is hosting an event that allows you to clean up their watershed and creek WHILE maintain social distancing! Now isn't that fun ;) This event is on November 14 (Saturday), 2020 from 8:30am to 11am (Pacific Time). This event is being co-sponsored by the West Valley Clean Water Program Authority. We will be practicing social distancing. Please bring your own water. If you want, you can bring your own gloves and pick up sticks. Remember your mask too! Grab your oldest clothes and shoes and come join us for a creek clean up. We have a mission to Reclaim, Restore and Revitalize our watershed. Many hands make this work a lighter task. Please join us! Volunteers are asked to arrive by 8:45 am for a safety presentation. We will be providing trash pick-up tools, trash bags, gloves. Please bring your own water container and water! We ask everyone to wear heavy soled shoes, long pants, hat and sunscreen. The work will begin at 9:00 am running through 11:00 am. Who: Shin Shin Youth Organization members, grades 6 and up. What: We will be helping to clean their watershed and creek! There WILL be instructions before we start! When: November 14 (Saturday), 2020 from 9am to 11am (Pacific Time). You will need to arrive at the place at 8:45am for a safety presentation!!! Where: Parking Lot at 761 Creekside Way 761 Creekside Way Campbell, CA 95008 What to bring/wear: Own water bottle w/ water, gloves and pick up sticks (optional, will be provided at the event), mask, oldest clothes and shoes, heavy soled shoes, long pants, hat, and sunscreen Limit: 11 people (adult and myself included).
