9/18 is the annual California costal clean up day. The slogan for this year's clean up day is ,”Protect Your Happy Place”! In the morning, our volunteers gathered at Fremont central park to join in the army of clean up volunteers! The weather is great and Fremont Central Park is still beautiful!
We would like to thank all volunteers who participated in this event for everyone in Fremont!
During the third Saturday in September, International Coastal CleanUp Day encourages people to rid beaches of garbage. Awareness is also spread about preserving and protecting the world’s oceans and waterways. The slogan of 2021 Coastal Cleanup Day is "Protect Your Happy Place"!
Located in the heart of Fremont, Central Park offers gorgeous views of the Mission Peak Hills and Lake Elizabeth. It’s set on 450+ acres with an 80+ acre lake and 2 mile walkway around the lake. People are walking and jogging around the lake, seeing the ducks and geese...It’s sad to see people littering the park nowadays. Hope we can help to keep it in its glory - just nice and green!
Fremont Environmental Services recruited 125 volunteers to help clean up litter on Sep 18, 2021. Early in the morning, the members and families of our ShinShin Youth Group gathered in the central park to join the mighty cleaning army! We walked around the lake and park, pickup the trash and debris. After 3 hours of work, many bags of trash were collected. Our work made the park more clean and beautiful.
As a longtime resident of Fremont, I sincerely thank all ShinShin youth group members and families who came to participate in the cleaning work today. Thank you!
